How well does it perform DWR?

While water repellency can be evaluated by the method defined in JISL-1092, there is no fixed index for evaluating the durability of water repellency. We have been evaluating and brushing up our DANSUI coatings through various tests in order to use a more field-oriented index.

Washing durability test

The fabric was repeatedly washed as specified in JISL-0217-105 method, and water repellency was evaluated by JISL-1092 method after washing. The average of three washings under each test condition is shown in the graph. The test cloth was made of 100% nylon. (Conducted at Tokyo Metropolitan Industrial Technology Research Institute)

The repellent coating adheres well to the fabric and does not easily lose its water-repellent component even after repeated washing.

Check water repellency after immersion

Test cloths treated with a water repellent finish were immersed in water for 5 days, and then the water repellency was checked. The test cloth was 100% nylon. (In-house test)

The repellant coating maintains water repellency even under conditions of constant contact with water.
